About Champions Club
Champions Club is a truism that “together we will all do better than any one of us could do alone”.
That is the basis of all successful communities and it is the basis on which Champions Club is built.
There is a well known story, which I have heard used to provide a definition of the difference between heaven and hell. To me it identifies that in fact we are all, already living in what could be described as a heaven or hell. The difference between where we find ourselves in life, I believe, has more to do with how we approach it than any other single factor.
The story, and I’m sure you will already have heard it, is about two groups of people who sit around a large table to eat, but they can only use the three foot chopsticks they have been provided with, to feed themselves.
Of course the definition of hell is where, selfishly, one group all starve as they can not put any of the food into their own mouths, because the chopsticks are too long.
The definition of heaven then, is where the second group simply decide to feed each other. All are fed and are happy because they helped each other.
This analogy rings true all the time for me, as I look at the way people behave towards each other on a daily basis.
Thinking about the group that decided to feed each other, it occurred to me that someone amongst that group must have initiated the sharing approach and so solved the group’s problem.
In the real world I find the same is always true. In any group situation, where there is a problem to solve, there is always one person who stands up and says I have an idea, we should do this, or we should do that. When this resonates, the whole group will adopt that new idea and move forward together, sometimes to do great things.
I believe in the simple truth, so clearly identified in the above story, that, “by all helping each other, we will all do better”.
This simple, and I believe self-evident truth, is the concept that Champions Club has been founded.
What has happened since that moment, has for me, been about breathing life into that idea; Champions Club. Champions Club now provides a platform, from which our developing community can flourish, together.
There is a small, but growing, team of like-minded individuals who have come together to help nurture Champions Club and their work is taking it to ever more exciting heights.
Keeping the idea that “by all helping each other, we will all do better” as our guiding principle, they have gone on to help develop incredible opportunities for every member of our wider community.
Honesty, integrity, justice, care, consideration and freedom all remain touchstone principles, behind everything that Champions Club strives to do.
People’s aspirations are as varied and unique as the pebbles on a beach and because of this Champions Club can be an amazingly broad house. There is no limit to the kind of support a member might look for or be able to offer in relation to personal success and personal development.
Amongst the many positive things that Champions club is developing, the ability to offer significant support to charitable enterprises is one that I personally hope will go from strength to strength, both in terms of financial support, though also more importantly perhaps, in terms of real world hands on every day support, where as individuals we really can make a difference and be counted upon.
As a community, in time, I hope we reach a position where we can make a real difference to a great number of people’s lives and that we can in time share in the satisfaction of their successes.
It is with a true sense of hope and enthusiasm that Champions Club is offered as a platform for all it’s members, where you are welcome to get involved.
The core team remain dedicated, simply, to providing an opportunity for the community to grow and for people to share what they are able to share, in a mutually supportive way.
Champions Club is a truism in action, that “together we will all do better than any one of us could do alone”.
